ごきげんよう、みなさん

I hope my anxiety with finding a job soon isn't showing too much through the name of this blog. The main reason why I chose to study Japanese is so I won't have to wait for games, anime, or manga to be translated before I can enjoy them. Although I'm aware that it will be a while before I ever reach that level... In any case, I hope to build a solid foundation so that after I graduate this term, I will be able to continue studying on my own. I plan on visiting Japan after I go see my family in Shanghai next summer, so hopefully by then I'll be able to communicate on a basic level.

  1. I love your blog name! Actually I have the same anxiety of becoming a NEET QAQ. This summer I spent the whole three months just staying at home, having a good rest and enjoying my mother's cooking while most of my classmates are taking some interns or doing some summer research. Although I don't think it's bad to be a NEET (which my parents would strongly disagree). And my main reason to learn Japanese is the same as yours. It is really annoying to wait for the translated anime while there are untranslated (or the "raw-meat") version being available.

  2. That's mainly why I'd like to learn Japanese as well! I'd also like to translate some doujinshi too.

    1. Me too. I'd like to be able to buy something from comiket one day and actually read it. Is there anything you're particularly a fan of?
